it seems as though i chose the perfect time to grow my hair out ~ and thus cover my awkwardly coiffed shame in turbans ~ because the new york times (aka my information-everything), has just declared this silken headwrap to be the hottest thing in town, and has directed all its readers to my very own tutorial, in order to show the world how it's done! my goodness, i'm flattered.

every week, i receive at least half a dozen emails from readers, wondering where to go for good vintage and designer deals in new york. being that i shop anywhere and everywhere ~ often accidently stumbling upon some hidden gem, then never again remembering where i found it ~ it's a question i find surprisingly difficult to answer. even after five years in the city, i'm still sifting through its infinite emporiums! truth is, you never really know where you'll uncover true treasures.
