benches are so ideal for your home! they are small, cute, gorgeous and always come in handy when you have invite some people! my favorite stools are the kartell gnomes and the fabulous vitra wooden stools! oh and they are even more interesting when you can use them as storage

for aesthetics, i love the last gold one, the hourglass. also love the velvet and gold leaf, and the silver horn base.
in terms of plopping down, if that is indeed the activity, not sure any of these selections would be desired. they seem to weigh more heavily on the form as opposed to function end of the spectrum.
i am sure, though, you could sit daintily on them and remove your shoes.

One for sitting and one to act as a base for a gorgeous oversized ornate mirror that found on the curb recently. I love the angle of a mirror that is leaned against the wall, but this one is not quite tall enough on its own.

The bronze drum that looks like it's from Africia is awesome for an entryway and the dark brown one that is shapped like a half C looks very greek! Either way these are great choices for your house.

I love the 'lamps plus curved basswood bench', something about the curves and the warmer wood feel. Also it looks like it would be the most comfortable for putting on and off shoes. I take up a lot of space leaning this way and that!
Some of these are better suited as martini tables. Love the horn one but I have it and it's not soooo great for sitting on. So it you want to "plop" and pull your shoes off and long day then the 2 upholstered pieces are probably best bet. I like the shape of the gold one with brown suede...simple yet stylish.
