i really enjoy animal-menagerie-themed interior accessories, and thus have them liberally sprinkled all over my home. unfortunately, i just can't seem to find the space (or, in some cases, budget) for everything i crave! nevertheless, here are a few more pieces that i'm truly tempted to obtain:
{ top: black panther coffee table ($845) via ebay // second row: hoofed side table ($450) via furbish studio, brass ram statuette ($23) via ebay, papier mache rhino ($68) via anthropologie // third row: ceramic stallion ($100) via z gallerie, stone lion-legged table ($975) via ebay // bottom row: ostrich leg side table ($465) via furbish studio, brass koi fish via ebay }

Wow, such decadent and ornate decor. Animal themed furnishings are the best. I especially am enamored with the jaguar statue and the table with the lions.

I KID YOU NOT, that leopard table is the exact one that sat on my friend's front stoop in college.
I imagine he didn't think it was worth $800, since it was mainly used to hold ashtrays and beer.
Love this post. There is an almost identical panther table listed here in Phoenix on craigslist for $25. It it went with my decor I'd be all over it!

Ostrich leg table - weirdly awesome. Your taste doesn't match mine personally, but I love seeing what you pull together, it always looks so posh

I am fond of animals in interior design too. but i remember being really afraid as a child, of a big sphinge jar that was at my grand parents'.
i've been coveting that white claw-foot side table for what feels like forever! now you've given me a whole bunch of other stuff to add to my wish list.
That coffee table is intense, I could totally see that in your place :)

I have the same obsession! So fun! xo http://dressmeup-dressmedown.blogspot.com/
Hi, Kelly! I saw you at Oyster Bar in Brooklyn on Saturday night! Realized it would be weird to have someone you've never met interrupt your conversation to say "Hi" so I decided not to. Did you see the creepy art installation right on the corner? The one with weird stuffed animals, chairs and just a bunch of crap (pardon my french:) Well in that hot mess was a lovely white horse head, very similar to the one you have posted here...wonder if it's trash or if it's a real installation?!
I love animal pieces for decor!!!

I saw that rhino at anthrpologie today. he's so whimsical. they also have a giraffe and an elephant too which I LOVED!
beautiful! I have to agree with the idea of animalia around the house...it tends to give off either a luxurious feel, or alternatively a intellectual 'adventurist'...like the feel you would get from the home of an eccentric man who's travelled the world.
Haha, but that might just be me.

Love that golden goldfish! Reminds me of the gracefully ominous fish in Fantasia.

The goldfish went for $386.99USD with 2 seconds left...crazy bidding war in the last 30 minutes! While they paid nearly $400 for it, I've got a plan of my own that I think will look nearly the same (though a little smaller)...I'm going to send you pictures once I'm done!
rad finds! I love the gilded fish! so pretty and unique
