{ can't get enough } DIY ideas for the home

because i've long since grown out of dollhouses, i'm dreaming of new ways to use all the miniature chairs i still love...
{ speacking of, have you seen this genius jewelry stand?! }

...as well as the full-size chairs i also adore, but have no place for (their storage becomes storage (becomes storage)):

can anyone else envision the football atop this task lamp being replaced with a handbag, or dashing hat? seems completely feasible to me:

and now that i've repainted all my old furniture and frames, how about adding some subtle, unexpected stenciling:

or, for a far less understated effect, perhaps i could cover a mirror (or table top or toilet seat cover!) with an iced topping of beautiful bijoux:

I passed the photo with the chairs a couple of times....and kept coming back. I couldn't figure out that they were hanging on the wall for like five minutes XD

You got my attention. Haha

Those look like fun DIY crafts. I've actually seen someone make some hanging lamps out of top hats before. It wouldn't be that hard I think. They looked really interesting!
Hope your apartment is coming along great!

The chairs as wall shelving is genius not to mention, practicle. Having a party with two unexpected guests? Viola! I also adore the jeweled mirror and adore how it takes on the appearance of sea shells but will glimmer and glisten in a darkened room.

Only problem - how to part with all that lovely jewelry!

Ooo I'm loving the chair shelves. My concern was that they may stick out too much into a hallway (I'm still obsessed though!)

Mmmmmm I love inspiring home improvement photos. I've actually been thinking of hanging two antique chairs of mine on the wall so that they could also double as shelves, but my "quaint" New York apartment won't allow for it! The mini-chair idea is also adorable. If you have mini chairs, then I'd say go for it!
