like i promised last week, i've just debuted a slew of new glamourwrap dresses over on shrimpton couture. each of them fits as seen in these photos, and can be worn in all the same ways as my regular wraps, but are cut a bit longer and equipped with an optional snap-front placket ~ actually making them more versatile than ever before! what do you think?!

i still love wearing them open [as a blazer or vest] ~ but feel pretty chic with one all buttoned up [as a cocoon coat or belted wrap dress]. most recent examples of them in action can be seen here, here, and ~ embarrassingly ~ here.

sometimes a week away from routine can work wonders. i'm extra-specially jazzed about this latest range of necklaces ~ the quality is exemplary but each piece's personality is the payoff. so much thought and attention was put into every embellishment; i believe this may be my favorite glamporium morn yet!

the other day, on twitter, a friend suggested that i thematize my designs after favorite films. i like the idea, but can i start with a book (that's been made into movies) instead? if so, i declare this black beauty week ~ for in addition to the raven wraps, our newest etsy collection is all about equestrian chic!

as much as the southern girl in me hates these east coast winters, i think it may be my most artistically stimulating season. it's too cold to go anywhere, so i stay in, tinkering with my little daydreameries. being trapped indoors creates a crafting vacuum for me. in fact, it was during my first new york winter (five years ago!) that i started designing jewelry in earnest. i had to keep my fingers moving or they'd freeze!

this week has been especially chilly, but i'm loathe to complain as it's yielded some of my favorite jewels in a long while...

lately, as so much of my days have been spent chasing a certain bunny rabbit around the dog park, i often find myself wanting to wear more modest jewels {albeit lots of them at once}. therefore, i've made a squadron of simple necklaces ~ designed to be layered together ~ so you can wear them as uncluttered or as ostentatiously as you please!

first of all, i'd like to thank everyone who participated in the discussion surrounding exactitudes! i have enjoyed reading your reactions ~ please keep them coming. although there is no right way to respond to such a startling social study, i do like the way joelle van dyne phrased things: "in the end, i think the best thing is to figure out what you like, and what looks good on you, and wear it, and not worry about who else is or isn't wearing it." indeed!
