i love to travel, but not nearly as much as i love being home with my bunny dog. while i was away in vegas, an earthquake sent shivers through new york city, and i was so worried for her i couldn't get back fast enough! we celebrated with a long walk by the williamsburg waterfront, plus lots of snuggles and belly rubs. now, apparently, we're facing a weekend hurricane. i'm wishing for everyone's safety over the coming days.

Please stay safe by staying away from windows, and if you can, cover them just in case. I am from Miami and I understand your concern.
Make sure you have batteries, lots of water (for drinking, cooking, and bathing), matches, canned food, etc..
Worst that may come (other than your house blown away of course) is no electricity for a few day.. ppl underestimate the reliance we have on it.
