{ bvlgari } save the children

{ eryn brinie dress & bulgari ring }

today i'm pleased to be teaming up with bulgari, proudly wearing their iconic save the children ring. save the children aims to resolve the ongoing struggles children face every day — replacing poverty, hunger, illiteracy and disease with hope for the future. this sterling silver and black ceramic band is the physical symbol of bulgari's commitment to their cause, of their devotion to providing quality education to the world's neediest children. it's available HERE, with $75 of each sale going directly to this worthy mission.

it is an honor to help spread awareness for their endeavor, and a joy to do so alongside many of my own favorite editors and bloggers, as seen in this photo gallery. if you'd like to learn more about save the children, including ways that you can get involved directly, please click here.

i have seen this @beckerman girls. I am into education because that is my job and passion (master in education)! So I know the importance of education. There are so many charity initiatives but the importance of this one is endless!!! The ring looks very sincere and modest! Sometimes jewelry has to be like that: nothing more and nothing less!.

it's a beautiful ring... but if you really think about it they give 75$ to the cause, and you pay 370$ for it. Do you think that a sterling silver and ceramic ring costs 295$ to make? they're still making lots and lots of money just by using the name of the cause. If you really want to help the best way is to directly give the money to the cause... there's allways someone that gets rich with these things!
just my opinion...
love your blog by the way! ;)

anonymous, I agree with you.
While charity fashion and products are a great way to get publicity for a cause, many people feel that they are doing enough by buying the bracelet, t-shirt, etc.

Donate the $370 to Save the Children, and it will mean so much more. And then, if you want to buy the ring- buy that to.

But please don't praise companies like bulgari, for this- they get tons of free advertising and a tax right off- it benefits them even more.

amazing! i love that companies do such things!

it would be so wonderful and refreshing to see true corporate social responsibility - an act of giving that isn't tied to profit or public image. I believe that acts of charity should stand alone - give directly to organizations whose mandates you believe in, or purchase products whose entire proceeds go to the recipient charity. stunning photo, though, really gorgeous.

I think it's so great that you did this. I, too, am a blogger that supports charitable causes and I once read that bloggers now have more influence over what folks are willing to purchase. So seeing so many influential faces rocking out social responsibility is super inspirational! This is definitely one of those items that is worth every penny, mad kudos to you!

and i love them so much
the designs are so classic no matter what people say i think the prices are awesome given the fact that this is from a luxury house

i always wear the necklace in my outfit posts
am still judging if i should get the ceramic version ring too or not

mmm Im sure now Bvlgari will not sell more diamonds, because they come from dead africans and they are very interested in saving our people, not in having our money. Don't they?

While I greatly admire your intentions and kind heart, I can't help but ask--why is only 20% of a $370 ring being donated to the actual philanthropy? Especially considering the profit this company makes regularly!

Claire M. said...

What a brilliant advocacy! I hope they will help many children most especially the kids in poor countries. I will support this idea by telling my friends about this.
