my friends over at coach (a much-beloved partner of this site) sent me this jacket a few weeks back ~ presumably to torture me. its leather is so perfectly buttery, its sleeves are so splendidly fitted, and it is so, so infuriatingly WARM!!

honestly, i can't remember the last time i was so anxious to wear something. and yet, the weather just won't permit it. i've tried cranking the A/C and rocking it around the house; i've tried it in movie theaters and chilly restaurants ~ but i'm not kidding anyone. its time has not yet come. so i stare at it on my bedroom mannequin, or pet it idly while watching netflix, and i dream of how happy we will be together next season.
have you too already found something special for fall, that you just can't wait to wear?

Yes, i just bought a very chunky crochet sweater vest...but its so hot in florida i cant bear it.
Hahah, I know the feeling! But what a GREAT jacket that was, I´m sure you´ll style it perfectly... :-)
Sigh. Yes. I bought these magnificent black and brown suede booties recently and I long to wear them with this beautiful fur cape my mother gave me. Both, unfortunately, are not fit for the 90 degree weather that I have been experiencing lately.
And I love love love that jacket. I've been looking for one recently just like that, but something tells me I won't be able to afford that exact jacket on a college budget, lol.
My collection of suede boots always looks sad in the summer months. And I mean, I love summer, but Fall clothes and shoes and boots and coats are my faves. I'm longing for Fall too, so I feel your pain. Awesome jacket, btw! :-)
Yes! Some really cool pants that are far away from hitting the stores :(!
xx,

Lots of things, but they are no use in this 90 degree weather.

YES. I got my first pair of Doc Martens for my birthday in June but my feet BAKE in them in this ridiculous heat.
That jacket and your blog are marvelous!
Haha, I'm sure you will be VERY happy together. It's good that you're getting this time to bond before the fall weather sets in.
Oh tell me about it. I just bought my first ever black coat complete with a full skirt and a bow belt, but I have to wait at least 3 agonizing months to wear it. :)
I am very very excited, however to see you styling this dress. :)
YES! I bought a vintage menswear Burberry waistcoat that will look so great with a fur vest layered over it.
I feel your pain... to be honest, I must prefer the clothes of fall to those of summer.

YES! I can't wait for fall.... I recently found a snow white sweater cape and black suede over the knee boots... they wait patiently in storage.
If you lived here, in San Francisco, CA, you could wear it right now. You could send it to me and I could wear it for you till you can finally wear it. haha. It's gorgeous.
I keep seeing that jacket around the web and LOVE it. It looks like the perfect, perennial leather jacket and I'm head over heels. I wish I could afford one, but as a graduate student in the humanities, it's not even going to happen. Enjoy it for me too!
I just wish I had the money for a GOOD leather jacket!
Just got these sexy tan booties with a very deep U cut in the front. I couldn't wait and promptly wore them out. In the car ride alone with the AC blasting, my feet couldn't bear the coverage. Just not meant to be right now :(

Marni knee boots, two Cynthia Vincnet sweaters and Chloe lace up wedges- all acquired this summer and all waiting for their autumnal debut. Houston won't allow me to even be hopeful of the heat relenting any time soon!

Last night I attended a clothing exchange. Me and four other girls exchanged things that our grandmothers donated, things are brothers did not want and things we we plain and simply sick of. I happened to get a lot of stuff including a BRIGHT red tuxedo jacket. A few sizes too big too, with shoulder pads. I'm loving it. I have this great dark denim dress that I cannot wait to wear with cable knit tights and OF COURSE my new red jacket!! Oh and obviously a wicked necklace. I am necklace of you though!
I LOVE that jacket! Can't wait to see how you style it. Where I live we've had less than a week of summer days, and as such, I'm still enjoying my warm weather clothes.
Several things - but we don't have the same problems with heat in Manchester (UK)...!
Love this jacket. I have a taupe leather bomber I am kind of dying to wear. But judging by the weather around here, that probably won't be until November.
Cashmere.
Le sigh!

That jacket looks oh so perfect!!
& yes, I'm looking forward to wearing my brown vintage trench coat this fall :)

you could always take a vacation to san francsico, it's pretty much the same tempature as it was in february right now. chilly.
I love your jacket!!! I know exactly what you mean I have a vintage Koos Van Den Akker wool skirt that is so amazing and it's way too hot outside to wear it and if Fl. will get a cold snap before December i will gladly drag it out of my closet and wear it. While traipsing about town. oh how I dream...
I just got a leather jacket with an asymetrical zip. It's a pretty "fawn" color...pinkish-brown. Can't wait to wear it, but like you I'd feel silly wearing it around in this weather! First cool day we have it's making it's debut!
OMG it's amazing!!!!!!

I relate to it, the other way around.
I live in a country where its either summer or rainy season.
So I pick up things that are intended for cold weather and just either wear them when I travel or to work and the movies (where a/c are up to the max!)
I picked up several fantastic fall pieces that are patiently waiting to be worn:
1) 3/4 sleeve black bear fur coat
2) long black leather gloves from Agent Provocateur (they come up to my biceps!)
3) Tim Burton-esque black and white striped blazer
I can't wait!
Fall is my favourite time of the year, and favourite season to dress for.
My new not yet worn because its summer Jeffrey Campbell Nation Ankle Boots in Cheetah. I open the box and pet them every so often.
The leather coat looks amazing, I don't blame you one bit for being anxious to wear it.
LOL! YES! Capes. 3 capes and I can't wear a one. One gorgeous vintage wool cape with fur collar; just looking at it heats up the house. A black vintage cape in a ribboned grosgrain fabric. Almost can wear it, if I lived on the coast. And then a caped trench coat, another vintage score. All waiting in the closet for fall and cooling temperatures.
That jacket is perfection - torture to wait to fall.. but once you can wear it and not die of heat, it will be glorious.
haha...i have the same issue...last week i ordered a leather jacket (trouve)from nordstrom and i was thinking ...i wont be able to wear it yet!!!!!! aaaahhh...im still on the hunt for a detachable hood black leather jacket!!
I have tons of stuff waiting for fall, one Jil Sander vintage blazer in particular...and all the shearling and fur-sleeve jackets, argh...
Love this moto too!
this jacket is so hot, love it for a great street chic look

What an amazing jacket! I would be dying too if I had something like that to look forward to this Fall! Unfortunately, FL's Fall won't be till November and I'm still searching for that one piece that I will live in the entire season.

Yes, I just go this adorable tweed crop jacket. Its even light weight without a lining. I thought I would be able to sneak it by, but no way. The first day the temperature drops below 60 degrees the baby is coming out!
I'm in Australia so we're currently in winter, so I'm looking forward to summer when i can bust out an amazing black maxi dress i bought at the start of winter (it's been torture to watch it sit unloved in my closet over the colder months). Can't wait! this is it here: http://belle-epoquista.blogspot.com/2010/05/maximum-love.html
So excited!
HOT!
