riding on a train going west

leaving the east hampton beaches for now, but not for long. once you've walked barefoot for days, the summer sun warming your soul, it's hard to stay long on stinging city streets...

...and to resume wearing shoes and combing your hair!

vintage emanuelle khan sunnies, ice.com earrings, self-designed 'tigerian tangle' necklace, 12by12 caftanette (in the same grooved-out print as these)

ah well, i shall take a few grains of sand dune style with me ~ a dab of bronzer, a caftan or two, and a handful of haute tropic jewels, inspired by the princess of the east:

(the princess of the east / painting by enzie shahmiri)

(tigerian tangle necklace by the glamourai: contact shrimpton couture if you dig it ~ i'm saying goodbye to this gem tomorrow!)

that necklace is incredible! so exotic. also, i just love your tunic, very chic!
i know what you mean about being barefoot & sun-soaked, & then having to go back to "reality". much as i love shoes, when i return to land after beaching & sailing, it's hard to get into footwear mode!

i am in love with that piece!

Ahhh, yes, always hard to return; but unlike most vacationers--you maintain a sense of style while on the beach. I must admit I'm likely the one shuffling around in a hideous flip flops and a mismatched swimsuit. So, cheers to you!

I have the same top! Although I wish I was in your shoes (or should I say barefoot?) like you on the beach. My summer style is like your beach style...loose flowy tops. I don't like anything that will cling to me here in Dallas where it's 100 degrees.

Hope you had a relaxing trip!
