+ glamourwraps +

last week i hinted about a special project i was working on, and i'm so excited to finally be able to share it with you all! i designed a capsule collection of glamourwraps, fashioned from reclaimed antique kimonos (they're coming later this week to shrimpton couture) and styled this story to feature a few of my favorites:

~ self-designed galmourwrap + rings ~

~ self-designed galmourwrap + rings, american apparel lace bodysuit, vintage dress ~

~ self-designed galmourwrap + rings, american apparel tank, vintage suede obi ~

~ self-designed galmourwrap + rings, american apparel lace bodysuit, vintage dress ~

~ self-designed galmourwrap + rings, american apparel tank, topshop shorts + boots, vintage suede obi, ~

~ self-designed galmourwrap + rings, american apparel lace bodysuit, genetic lace 'shane' jeans, coach 'aubrie' boots ~

i'm so excited about all of these pieces. each is one-of-a-kind and can be worn in dozens of different ways! to celebrate, i'll be sipping champers with cherie, the bewitching chick in charge of shrimpton couture, tonight at the W hotel in NYC. why don't you stop by and say hi?

this informal meet-up is open to everyone, so please pop in if you're around!
***update: we'll be hanging out from 5-7! see you then

These are really something! I very often get that "ooh, I LOVE that" feeling with fashion/design blogs in general, but I very rarely get that "must. have. it. will. die. without. it." feeling. Congratulations! I will swing by the store asap!

I've written you before about kimonos and I'm happy to see that you're showing off how versatile they off and not just museum pieces. Since I live in Japan I have acquired quite a collection. If you ever have the time take a look at my blog.
